Visit of Deputy State
Project Director - RMSA, Shri Ram Murti Goyal to DIET Sangrur
The
American India Foundation Trust in collaboration with Rashtriya Madhyamik
Shiksha Abhiyan, Punjab is imparting training to teachers based on 'Pedagogy'
at DIETs/ GISTCs.
On
27th July'13, Shri Ram Muri Goyal, Dy.SPD (RMSA, Govt. of Punjab)
visited the DIET training center in Sangrur district to assess the quality and
coordination of training.
During
the visit, AIF trainer and DIET resource persons updated him about training
content and activities being practiced under teacher training.
During
the training session, DySPD-RMSA interacted with teachers and asked various
questions about Pedagogical practices and its importance in classroom. Teachers
responded very positively about the training content and learning as follows:
'This
training is different from other trainings and it is activity based,
interesting and easy to follow. The concepts are helpful to cater holistic
development of students.'
DySPD,
RMSA motivated teachers to deliver their best for better future of students and
taking teaching as noble profession. During discussion he emphasized that it
can be only possible by exploring the need and social context of students in
govt. schools.
One
very important suggestion made by DySPD was that if a teacher gets late to
reach in his/ her classroom due to certain reasons, he/ she should have
sufficient and appropriate teaching activities/ lesson plans to cover the
content with maximum involvement of students within available time period. He
shared that this training only can be successful if school heads/ teachers take
it very positively for their own self as students follow them as a role model
in their real life.
At
the end he gave his best wishes for success of training and teachers/ staff
thanked him for his visit and encouragement.
